Mr. Ofseyer graduated magna cum laude from the Harvard Law School in 1990. His legal career began in New York, as a Judicial Clerk at the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn. He has years of litigation experience at some of New York's elite firms, including four years as a Senior Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, an eminent 500-lawyer firm based in Manhattan. He went on to start his own firm in Palm Desert, California in 2005, focusing on estate planning and probate matters, and formed a partnership with Mr. Nethery in 2008.

Mr. Ofseyer's experience includes graduate work in Ethics and Jurisprudence, for which he earned an M.A. from New York University and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. He has taught Ethics and Jurisprudence at Harvard, NYU, UNC, and UCLA.

Mr. Ofseyer is a member of the Desert Bar Association, the Trusts & Estates Section of the State Bar of California, the Desert Estates Planning Council, and the Board of Directors of the Arthritis Foundation of the Desert. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Family Service of the Desert.  He is the son of Rabbi Jordan Ofseyer, formerly of Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs.
